Book Fridays

The plan is for Fridays to be a shorter post with some notes on what I'm reading. I'm juggling three things right now and behind on all of them (I'm pretty sure there's a correlation). I'm on day 40 of a "read-the-Bible-in-a-year" plan. I should be on day 54. I'm on page 50 of a 160 page book that I started a week ago. I'm on page 10 of a 676 page book that I started today. I should have started two days ago.

Suffice to say I haven't been focused. I'm a third of the way through Little Fuzzy by Scalzi. It's a great read so far. It's definitely classic sci fi, and more Heinlein than Asimov. It's a frontier/western/first contact story and I'm enjoying seeing how much science fiction has changed.

I started Tigana today, I'm reading that for The Sword and Laser book club. I'm ten pages in and captivated by Kay's writing and the world he's created and I'm looking forward to diving into it.

Finally, I've never read all the way through the Bible. I started almost two months ago and I'm about two weeks behind. I've been reading double every other day, so I should be caught up in about a month.

I'd strongly reccomend all three of these (Little Fuzzy, Tigana, and a yearly Bible reading plan). I plan to be done with Little Fuzzy by next Friday, I'll have a more complete review up then.
